FYI – I havent’ been able to get Alt + F11 to open VBA since release 2005 in ADT or ACA versions…works fine in Vanilla AutoCAD (Don’t hate me Eric)
Here’s one missing from your list: Use the ~ (tilde) symbol to open dialogs when they’ve been disabled or turned off via filedia or cmddia variables.

Tools > Customize > Edit Program Parameters
This notepad file can be copied and transfered to other computers. It is very useful because it is portable. My coworker taught me last week.

If I were you, I would make sure there are no duplicates on the list. For example, LI is already taken. You might find work-around, but I would assign other command in order not to confuse the system.

Hi
I have recently started working with a company that operates AutoCAD 2006 on a MAC by using a parallels system. The problem is that my shortcuts don’t work ie. ortho & osnap being the most important. Does anyone know how I can get these shortcuts to work??

ORTHO for Mac is control+shift then “o”

GO TO TOOLS, CUSTOMIZE, ACADPGP THEN YOU’LL SEE ALL THE COMMAND SHORTCUT- HOW TO EDIT RIGHT CLICK HIGHLIGHT THE SHORTCUT COMMANDS AND CHANGE IT TO YOUR SHORTCUT COMMAND LET SAY REC – RECTANGLE CHANGE IT TO RC BUT MAKE SURE WHEN YOU CHANGE THE SHORTCUT IT DOES’NT HAVE THE SAME DEFAULT SHORTCUT COMMAND OF YOUR AUTOCAD AFTER YOU’VE DONE IT SAVE AND CLOSE YOUR AUTOCAD PROGRAM THEN OPEN IT AGAIN AND TYPE YOUR UPDATE COMMAND YOU’LL NOTICE THE DIFFERENCE – HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU THANKS

When editing acad.pgp, it is a good idea to place your new aliases at the bottom in the “– User Defined Command Aliases –” section for successful migration when you upgrade to the next version of ACAD.
Also, I believe that those in the bottom section will take precedence over the ones above.

I have installed ADT2006. First, the menu bars have not loaded when i start but fixed it with cuiload command. then when i try the general keyboard commands, none work–like PL, CO etc.
How do i fix it?

how about PAN? What is the shortcut key instead of typing in command?
December 30th, 2009 at 7:36 am
PAN- “P” or MMB(Middle Mouse Button) click-and-drag.
Good luck.
