When you are writing the standard, define what the development teams do and their areas of oversight.\u00a0 We discussed who they are here<\/a>, and what they do here<\/a>.\u00a0 but you need to include something that helps others know who, where and how things are created and refined.<\/p>\n

Include who is responsible for maintaining and changing the document. Explain how changes are managed. Define how the standard gets modified.<\/p>\n

Example:<\/p>\n

The Standard will be maintained and modified by the same team that created it. The CAD Standards Committee will become the clearinghouse for any follow-on issues. This document is seen as a living document that may change from time to time. As such, XYZ will continue to develop and modify this document.<\/p>\n

Comments and suggestions are welcome. Please contact the CAD Standards Committee.<\/p>\n

The modification process includes the following:<\/p>\n

\u2022\tA proposed change is submitted by or to the CAD Standard Committee
\n\u2022\tIt is reviewed for clarity and discussed.
\n\u2022\tThe CAD Standard Committee decides if it is a valid proposal or offers clarification of the Standard or a work around
