Customization that works may include the following principles:<\/p>\n<ul><\/p>\n<li>Only customize the stuff you have to <\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li>Only customize when it returns major benefits <\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li><del>Use the tools that are provided via the AutoCAD GUI<\/del><\/li>\n<li>When customizing, use the programming tools that are provided via the AutoCAD GUI<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li>Look for the easiest method for customization and use that <\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li>Only escalate to another (harder) customization method when you have too <\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li>Do not replace any Out of the Box commands <\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li>Jettison your old stuff as soon as it is replaced by AutoCAD <\/li>\n<p><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From my AU 2007 class &#8211; Preventative CAD Management: I call it Critical Customization.
