With a full room present, we discussed issues surrounding the planning needed to manage your career.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the topics included: Knowing yourself, Knowing your opportunities and Knowing what you are Looking for. By thinking through these areas, you are setting yourself on track to success.<\/p>\n<p>After that it was back to my room to upload the final presentation for those that attended. Then down for lunch. I ate lunch with a gentlemen from the Pacific Northwest &#8211; Civil Designer using Civil3D. He has many years of working as CAD Manager for his firm. Great conversation.<\/p>\n<p>On to the exhibit hall and grabbing some snacks &#8211; AU branded M&amp;M&#8217;s at the Autodesk booth.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.caddmanager.com\/CMB\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/AU-MM.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3080\" alt=\"AU-MM\" src=\"https:\/\/www.caddmanager.com\/CMB\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/AU-MM-300x297.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"297\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.caddmanager.com\/CMB\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/AU-MM-300x297.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.caddmanager.com\/CMB\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/AU-MM-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.caddmanager.com\/CMB\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/AU-MM.jpg 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Wandering around I was impressed with the volume of 3D Printers and services available.\u00a0 They are doing some amazing stuff.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.caddmanager.com\/CMB\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/3d-Printing.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3081\" alt=\"3d Printing\" src=\"https:\/\/www.caddmanager.com\/CMB\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/3d-Printing-168x300.jpg\" width=\"168\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.caddmanager.com\/CMB\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/3d-Printing-168x300.jpg 168w, https:\/\/www.caddmanager.com\/CMB\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/3d-Printing-576x1024.jpg 576w, https:\/\/www.caddmanager.com\/CMB\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/3d-Printing.jpg 1836w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 168px) 100vw, 168px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After a short break in mid-afternoon that I took, it was back to the pre-AUGI Meeting show of technology\u00a0 that included the Glorious Gadgets presentation by Jim Balding and Wesley Binn (Think <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rtcevents.com\/index.php\">RTC<\/a>).\u00a0 The had demo videos of future technology that was pushing the envelope.\u00a0 Ed Tallmadge of US CAD actually flew a quad copter around the room (like the ones the Amazon might use in the future).<\/p>\n<p>The AUGI show presented the stats and facts of all the AUGI initiatives completed and in progress.\u00a0 They are over 337,000 members now.<\/p>\n<p>Then it was on to the AUGI Beer Bust.\u00a0 The exhibit hall was packed again.\u00a0 I ran into old friends (like Edward Lick, AEC Solutions Support Manager at STV, Inc.) and then actually won something.\u00a0 I never win anything, but I won an iPad Air &#8211; provided by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.synergis.com\/\">Synergis Technologies<\/a>.
