CADDmanager –
I am a short cut key command user – I use CTRL+ (learned drafting on a Mac with Vectorworks) for most of my commands, and thought I would share with others how to customize. You can change any of the standard CTRL+ commands listed above, and add new ones for any other command by going to (in 2012) manage > CUI Interface > customization in all files (table) + Keyboard Shortcuts + shortcut keys >> commands will be shown on the right hand side, you can double-click any of the commands to edit the shortcut keys.
To create new short cut keys for commands not already listed, drag any command from the Command List in the table below to the short cut key list and you will be able to edit and create a new shortcut key command just like for the others. You can also add SHIFT to any CTRL command if you run out of simple letter commands.
I am a Mac user and learned Cad with the mac based quick keys, so I’m sharing for any others like me. And personally I think CTRL commands are infinitely faster than any other way to interface…CTRL+Key is one key stroke, when most typed commands are at least 2-3 clicks and enter, not to mention hunting for tool bar commands…just sayin

im using autocad 2007 on an i mac using vmware.
im also using a windows mouse , but i cant get the pan to work ie the middle wheel. every time i push it and move the mouse the mac gestures cut in and the whole screen swipes away and i end up on the mission control .
very annoying ,
iv turned off the gestures onm the mac desktop but they continue to work withing vnware.
also i need to configure the centre wheel to pan when i hold it down. at the moment i have to hold down the command key on the keyboard and hold the left mouse button down and move the mouse..
any advice would be much appriciated
martyn 😉

LINE, choose a starting point with the mouse, specify next point, type : @2’<45, ENTER
@ = from the start point
