Upgrading to 2009?

When will you be upgrading to 2009 products?   I just posted a new Poll asking just that question.   Do you plan on moving soon?

What factors play in to your decision making process for deciding when to upgrade?  Money?  Time?  Training?

I generally give the new releases a few months before upgrading. I check the magazines and blog posts to see what other users’ experiences are. Often I don’t upgrade until SP1.

I plan to install 2009 just as soon as it comes in the mail, and I’m not in the middle of something, so within a day or two after recieving it.

Reason: I always like to use the newest version of AutoCAD software, and if possible I like to get a headstart on everyone else. I like knowing the problems that may arise from using new versions, and what better way to do that than to use it.

Not this release, It’s an odd number and as everyone knows… The odd number Autocad’s are worse than the Even numbers. Maybe the odd numbers are “Beta”? 2009 doesn’t offer that great of an advance in technology over 2008 to justify the expense and downtime in learning the new version.

i already use some of autodesk 2009 software. there are some improvement. good software. but i am still using 2008 product for my project. because its hard to move from 2008 to 2009 in the middle of project.

also its hard for my cad user to adapt the new “user interface”. they still need time to learn the new interface and icon.
